Retirement Home Photoday

Much like a school photo day, but for residents of a retirement or nursing home.  Seniors are invited to sign up for one hour time slot in advance and invite their family and friends to join them for their photo session (a maximum of 5 people, please).  Special arrangements for bedridden or immobile residents who cannot sit for poses can certainly be arranged.  Please indicate this on the sign up form in advance so a Reasons photographer can set up a consultation before the day of the shoot.

On the day of the photo shoot, Reasons Photography will set up a portable studio on site in a common room.  We take great care to work with the seniors to provide them with a relaxed photo session.  We have lots of time and will work around any aids required, such as wheelchairs and walkers.  Participants will be able to pick their favourite digital portrait backgrounds for their images from an extensive library.  

Proofs are ready within a week.  A follow up consultation is requested to choose a free 8x10 and to order more prints should they choose.  For the technically-savvy, proofs can also be reviewed in an online gallery.  There is no obligation to purchase.  Reasons Studios never deletes images.  Prints may be purchased at any time within a year of the photo session.  (After a year, a surcharge of $10 is requested to retreive images from archives and create a new proof sheet.)

As a thank you for allowing Reasons Studios the priviledge to be a part of your residents lives, we would also like to offer a free 8x10 group portrait of the staff to management.

We ask that family or a staff member be available for residents with cognitive disorders (such as Alzheimers) during a photo session.

Pricing:

$75 sitting fee:  Includes a 1 hour photo session, post processing of images (blemish removal and basic touchups), a followup consultation, and a 8x10 print in any pose.
